Once again, we will use the Little Pine Motel and Resort, Hwy 32 in Hiles, WI (phone Mark and Julia Ferris, owners, at 888-541-4150) as one of our central meeting points. This will be true for all of us, even those of us not staying at the Little Pine. We will be leaving from the parking lot at the Little Pine for our forays on Friday and Saturday.
Our second main base will be the Hiles Town Hall (9193 N Main St, Hiles, WI 54511) which is nearby to the Little Pine motel. This is where the presentation and potluck will happen, and where our display of fungi specimens will be kept. The Hall building has a kitchenette with dishes we can use provided we clean. If you want to use any freshly foraged edible fungi in your dish, we will ask that those mushrooms have been looked over by a foray leader while still uncooked. Drinks will be provided. If you do not want to bring something to the potluck that is fine, but it is of course greatly encouraged!
For those wishing to camp, excellent facilities are just around the corner, and there are many camping opportunities in the area that are unlisted.
