Mitchell Park Domes  September 26 2021 - Mushrooms, Mosses and Mums, we were in the lobby from 9 AM to 4 PM.  But even if you missed the date, or the whole show, you can find images and news reports about this Fall Floral & Fungal Show featuring WMS fungi sculptures, paintings by Tess Kenney, and a mural by Kristen Schueffner.

The show ran from SEPTEMBER 25 - NOVEMBER 7 and focused on unique forest species of moss and fungi sculptures, set alongside a fall mum collection.

Coral Woods Foray, Saturday October 2nd 2021, 9 AM - Noon
Illinois Mycological Society invites WMS to join them at Coral Woods Conservation area. You will meet up with foray leader Lorinda Sues for a day out in autumnal Coral Woods searching for fungi. "Table talk" discussing all finds to follow the end of the walk. Coral Woods is located at: 7400 Somerset Dr, Marengo, IL 60152

2021 FUNGI FAIR - October 9, 2021  10 AM till 5 PM
We had a wonderful return of the Fungi Fair this year, open to all and hosted at the Polish Center of Wisconsin (6941 S. 68th Street Franklin, WI 53132-8237) Thank you to out-going WMS Vice President Gary Schlipaski for helping organize this event!

- WMS Board Elections, "Festive Food & Drinks with Fungi" mini-cooking demonstration with board member Melissa Klokta, Fungi Trivia 'Pub Quiz' with Prizes to compete for & Lottery Prize drawn from everyone who stuck with it to the end of the night!

Wisconsin Mycological Society (WMS) is dedicated to the study and enjoyment of mushrooms and other fungi throughout the state of Wisconsin. Education, safety, sustainability, community, and connecting with nature are our goals.  We are affiliated with NAMA, along with our 2 other Wisconsin Clubs, the Madison Mycological Society and the Northwestern Wisconsin MycoEnthusiasts.

We do not ID mushrooms through this website. 
If you are in need of an ID consider uploading quality photos and descriptions of your find to Mushroom Observer or iNaturalist including our projects or post in Wild Food Wisconsin or Mushroom Identification Group.
