WMS Membership

Membership to WMS is valid from January through December.
Memberships paid after October 1st  include the following year's membership.

Membership dues are very minimal for the whole year and a great value for anyone interested in learning about fungi and edible mushrooms. Your financial support helps fund WMS events, lecture fees and foray fees at some locations. We are volunteer run so 100% of your membership dues goes directly back into events and content put on for you and other members and support of mycology in the state. Memberships are available singly or for families.

Dues must be up to date prior to attending any WMS events, forays, Zoom lectures, etc.

WMS members receive a quarterly newsletter with notices for all mushroom hunting forays, dinners meetings, lectures, workshops,  socials, and much more.  Members are also eligible to run for positions on the WMS board.

Join or renew your yearly membership today.  Paypal/Credit Cards accepted. Or print out the application to mail in.
When you join you are paying for 1 year of membership - you are not automatically signed up to pay the next year.

THANK YOU FOR BECOMING A WMS MEMBER

We are happy that you have decided to join us!  We encourage all members to get involved and make this society your own. WMS volunteers donate a lot of time and experience to spread mycological awareness, mycophilia, and support education throughout the state of Wisconsin.

Along the way, we have fun, learn about the world of fungi, and meet a lot of great people!

Getting active with WMS can be as simple as bringing a great dish to the potluck, or as elaborate as hosting a whole foray out into the woods.

Be sure to confirm or update your email, snail mail address, & phone number in Paypal with us prior to paying your dues.

In order to get your membership benefits, we need to keep in contact!

Wisconsin Mycological Society (WMS) is dedicated to the study and enjoyment of mushrooms and other fungi throughout the state of Wisconsin. Education, safety, sustainability, community, and connecting with nature are our goals.  We are affiliated with NAMA, along with our sister club, the Madison Mycological Society.

We do not ID mushrooms through this website.
If you are in need of an ID consider uploading quality photos and descriptions of your find to Mushroom Observer or iNaturalist including our projects or post in Wild Food Wisconsin or Mushroom Identification Group.
