A Colorado native for almost 25 years, Kristen Blizzard recently moved to Cable, WI with her husband Trent. They have been trekking the forests of the Midwest, Colorado and the Pacific Northwest for years mostly with wild, edible mushrooms in mind. At first a hobby, the hunt for mushrooms quickly became nothing short of an obsession. Kristen is a certified Wild Mushroom Identification Expert in Colorado.
Kristen and Trent run a web design and marketing agency and are fortunate to have the ability to work from the road. Occasionally traveling to forage — they follow mushroom seasons throughout the year with visits to CA, OR, and CO along the way. In the fall of 2020 they released their first book, Wild Mushrooms: A Cookbook and Foraging Guide. You will find their adventures online at modernforager.com.
