The Wisconsin Mycological Society Mushroom Cookbook (first edition)

Dr. Theresa Kenney has taken on the responsibility of organizing and publishing the first WMS Cookbook as a fundraiser.  She is also considering having a cook off to show off some of the recipes.  The book will be available in hard copy and eBook, both through Amazon.  Other mycological societies come out with cookbooks as fundraisers as well, according to Britt Bunyard. The cookbook will highlight recipes which include wild and domestic mushrooms, along with photos of the mushrooms, photos of finding the mushroom and member photos. Once enough recipes and photos are collected the book will be published. There isn't a deadline for sending in your recipes, with or without photos, but she advises to send them as soon as possible.  So members, send in your recipes at your earliest convenience with or without photos for so she can start organizing the cookbook.

Wisconsin Mycological Society (WMS) is dedicated to the study and enjoyment of mushrooms and other fungi throughout the state of Wisconsin. Education, safety, sustainability, community, and connecting with nature are our goals.  We are affiliated with NAMA, along with our 2 other Wisconsin Clubs, the Madison Mycological Society and the Northwestern Wisconsin MycoEnthusiasts.

We do not ID mushrooms through this website.
If you are in need of an ID consider uploading quality photos and descriptions of your find to Mushroom Observer or iNaturalist including our projects or post in Wild Food Wisconsin or Mushroom Identification Group.
